A duel with glass katanas in a corridor of violet lines of light

About the studio

Visual thinking in web design

SOMO STUDIO is an independent web design studio. We don’t assemble websites from ready-made blocks: each one has its own logic, rhythm and style. Both the first impression and how easily a visitor can make sense of the content matter in our work. That’s why the visual idea is always tied to the project’s task.

Path

From graphics and video editing to web development

SOMO STUDIO grew out of an interest in graphic design and video editing, which over time led to web development. Each discipline shaped our approach to work in its own way: graphic design taught us to see harmony in colour and composition, and editing taught us to feel rhythm, work with movement and build a visual story.

Over time, these skills came together in website development. Today, SOMO STUDIO combines strong visual design with technical implementation, turning ideas into complete digital projects. We work on both how a website looks and how it works: planning the structure and interface, writing code, creating animations and building interactions.

It’s important to us that a visual idea becomes a working product rather than remaining just a beautiful mock-up. Every detail should feel intentional, interactions should feel natural, and the visual impact should be backed by thoughtful implementation, usability and attention to quality.

Principles

What matters to us

  1. 01

Meaning before decoration: the visual solution should help people understand the offer.

  2. 02

Coherence: typography, images, structure and interaction should speak the same language.

  3. 03

Attention to detail: small decisions add up to an overall sense of quality.

  4. 04

Meaningful expressiveness: a website can be bold and atmospheric without becoming confusing.

  5. 05

Honest communication: we talk through the scope of work, terms and limitations before the project starts.

We don’t aim to make every website equally showy. Each project has its own audience, task and mood, and we look for a form that suits them.
